Excellent decaf tea for our Keurig machine

My wife and I drink only decaf coffee and tea, and the downside to that is mostly the lack of choice in coffees and other products offered in decaf versions, particularly choices that have a good taste.

We've only recently begun using a Keurig machine, and I decided to try this Twinings Earl Grey Breakfast decaf tea - we've used Twinings products for many years and it felt like the logical Keurig choice, at least to give it a try.

I'm very satisfied with the taste of this decaf tea. It is a strong enough blend to have a good tea taste, and I do not detect any of the aftertaste that is present in many decaf products. I think that it is a good alternative to regular brewed tea, keeping in mind that brewing a cup of tea is not that difficult of a thing in the first place, so using the Keurig as a more convenient alternative is really not as significant of a factor as it would be for coffee, in my opinion.

I've had quite a few cups of tea made using these decaf pods and I'm very satisfied with them. The price is good, less than many brands, and this will probably be our go-to when we want to brew decaf tea with our Keurig machine.

More like apple chamomile without any spices

I have to wonder if this tea is mislabeled because this tea tastes like apple chamomile tea without any spices, maybe a bit of hibiscus. I double-checked the packaging and it definitely says Winter Spice. I was expecting cinnamon, maybe allspice, cloves, ginger etc but I can't taste any spice in this tea at all. It does have a very strong chamomile scent that is unmistakable. It isn't terrible, but definitely not at all what I was expecting. I'm going back to my favorite Good Earth Sweet and Spicy Caffeine Free Herbal Tea. I had been looking to switch it up a bit so I don't get sick of the Good Earth.

I have a Keurig and am a coffee drinker but sometimes tea just sounds good. When those times come, I reach for this Chai tea. It's comforting to drink, kinda like being wrapped in a warm and cozy blanket. It's very smooth and you can taste all the spices but they are not over powering. I add a little stevia to mine along with some cream. This coffee drinker would definitely recommend this Chai tea for a nice warm hug on cold day.

Let's face it, a Keurig coffee machine isn't always the greatest option when it comes to tweaking out every nuance of a coffee or tea. However, if you like the convenience of a one cup machine, and you like chai tea, this one is actually quite good. It has all of the spice you expect, but just be sure to use a smaller cup size if you are machine has multiple sizes for brewing. Otherwise, it will be rather weak especially if you add milk to make a traditional chai tea. A very nice option for fall, when warm spices are a welcome addition to any beverage.
