I was excited to get to use this demi-glacé, I have been thinking about making my own for a while but did not really want to put in a full days worth of work due to busy schedules... when I receive the package I immediately knew I wanted to do a sauce with it and had bought some great fillet steaks for the occasion"¦ I ended up using this demi-glace with rehydrated wild mushrooms, mushroom stock, garlic, minced onions, salt and pepper"¦ The end result had my "I'm not hungry" girlfriend using bits of Bread to scrape every last bit of sauce from the pan after polishing off a steak and a half lol, I think it was a success!

My wife and I began using Hello Fresh to expand our palate and avoid the grocery store during Covid 19. Many of the meals come with a demi glace sauce. These packets seem like the same thing used in those delivery meal kits. I prepare them by roasting a clove of garlic, then sauté in a pan used to sear steaks.

We love Home Chefs Demi glacé. Tried a couple different Demi glacé's we found here on amazon and this is our favorite. Just like home chefs. At first I made it according to simple directions with just water and wasn't sure...was so so. Then I made it similar to home chefs recipe by sautéing a chopped shallot in olive oil, adding Demi glacé, then water, heating to a simmer then removing from heat and stirred in a bit of butter. Perfect! Sooo delicious. So glad I found it in amazon. A little pricey...wish it was more reasonably priced but will buy for special occasions. Delicious!
