Overall, an aesthetically pleasing piece for a table or desk. When it comes down to the details, that's where I notice the quality of what I'm paying for. It's fairly cheap, so I can't expect much more than medium/decent quality. The rake looks very cheap and plastic-y, will probably be buying a more authentic looking rake. The zen rock is fine, but the one with Asian characters is just a ball of wax and doesn't feel nice to touch. The candle holder scratches the black tray and leaves white marks, so I would recommend putting a piece of fabric or felt underneath it. As for the packaging, not too impressed. The sand had leaked through the bag, getting all over the black tray. Additionally, one of the four legs underneath the table had fallen off. Definitely easy fixes, but something to consider. Overall, I believe it's worth the price, but I would consider getting a different rake with your purchase.

I have been shopping around for something similar for years, and the perfect one just hadn't appeared; until now. With a space for a candle, a nice assortment of stones, and soft, light colored sand, this zen garden is just right for my meditations as well as play! I expected it to look moderately cheap for the price, but it looks very nice and well finished!

I bought this item without looking at the reviews. My former co-worker had one and I was so excited to get it for my desk at my new office. It came packaged very nicely but I was disappointed when I opened the package to find a plastic rake and the rock that says, "Zen" is missing. The candle holder is poor quality. The rocks seem fine. I will keep it because it just going on my desk at work but would not purchase this again.
