"Moneysworth" is Definitely Misleading!

I just put this polisher together and plugged it in and pressed the button on the top to turn it on and it came on. Then I pressed it again and it clicked and it no longer comes on. This was a complete waste of money. I didn't realize that you had 30 days to try it out. So please do not buy this shoe polisher because it is absolutely worthless and I'm out of my money.

I find this buffer well made and does not stall in normal use even with some extra pressure. I leave it plugged in by the front door and buff my shoes when I leave. My shoes always look good now.

Good no-frills shoe polisher for the price. Sure the motor isn't powerful, but you are shining shoes not grinding steel bolts. Keep the pressure light so that it spins fast and it will get a nice shine. Been using mine for almost a year now and it still performs the same. Though without decent instructions I never was able to figure out the difference between the red and black pads. LOL

I used to have a Sharper Image shoe shine buffer, but the moment I put my shoe up against it, the motor stopped, making the whole thing useless. Eventually, I just got rid of the thing. It was just as expensive as this model too,
I knew that commercial buffers such as those seen I public installations work quite well, so it seemed obvious that the Sharper Image model was just under-powered and poorly constructed. Unfortunately, the cheapest commercial buffers cost hundreds of dollars. Given the number of positive reviews, I decided to try this one instead. Fortunately, it was a risk well worth taking, as this unit works as well as any I have used. How nice it is to be able to just apply a little touch-up pollish and run my shoes under the brushes of my new shoe buffer. Because this saves a lot of time, it makes at far more likely that I will keep my shoes nicely shined.
