This thing is awful.

I don't know if I got a defective one or what but this thing is awful. Both the posts holding the beds completely stripped and caused the post to fall over with my cats on it. One is 10lbs and one 11lbs. so they are not that big. Based on the one I received I feel this thing is a danger to any pets and Amazon should pull this product immediately. If I had kept the box it would be going back.. For the first time I will be making a complaint directly to amazon!

I give this only three stars because it's not fully functional for my cat and the 2 top tiers are not that sturdy for a big 13+ pound cat. My cat cannot fit in the cubby hole and that's the main reason I bought this is so he'd have a place to hide in. The hole where the ladder meets up is just waste of space that would have been better to leave out so that that tier could have accommodated a bigger cubby hole and have more landing space for a big cat to lay on. I will try and sell this on Craigslist and if not I'll donate it to a cat rescue. I will attach a picture of my cat on this thing which he hasn't been interested in since. By the way, my cat is ruffly 17 inches long and the cubby hole from inside measures is 14 x 11 inches at it's widest and it's a triangle space. The 2 top tiers measure at 13 x13 inches. I write this review to help save someone else the time and money.
My kitties dig it. They don't scratch it, but they dig it.

You cannot beat this for the price.
My cats couldn't wait for me to get it put together to start playing with it... it only took me about 30 minutes total -- and that's after I did the staircase part wrong the first time -- to put it all together, despite them climbing all over it. It's a touch (just a touch mind you) on the flimsy side of things. But it works well as a corner piece, and the platforms both support the weight and size of my bigger cat with no problem. (I would guess she's about 18lbs or so.)
The biggest / oldest cat pretty much claimed it as hers, immediately, repeatedly batting away the younger one each time he tried to jump on it. And so it was for a week or two -- it was hers, and hers alone.
She has finally conceded to let him play on it as well, but she still sleeps on the mid level shelf ALL DAY LONG.
I cannot for the life of me convince them to scratch on the sisal posts (they much prefer the carpet on my stairs to anything else I buy them...) but they both hang out on the platforms a lot.
The toys are pretty much ignored. That might be because the mouse on the stretchy string bopped them both on the nose the first time they each tried it... but hey, that's cool with me. It just kinda hangs out there. The rope works if I'm playing with them - but on their own they just ignore it. (They look at me like I'm crazy if I try to play with the mouse with them though -- the memory of getting bopped on the nose was just too strong for them I suppose.)
At half (or more!) of the price of similar cat trees -- My kitties and I are more than 100% satisfied with this one. This is definitely one of my better purchases on Amazon!

Seriously cannot say enough good things about this cat tree! My two cats stay on it! I use the very top to put their food bowls so the dogs don't get it, works perfect!
Plenty of room!

Adopted a strayed cat. First cat in my life, no idea what to get her to give her a good life. This tree house was easy to assemble, nice height, I feed her on the second platform (to avoid having my golden eating her food lol) And she has started to sleep in the little house :) oh, and I poured some catnip all over it, I read that cats love the smell and it seems to be truth :) oh and I bought a scratcher and placed it at the base, she seems to like it too.
