Specified as 1/2" drill shank. It's not. It's GERMAN. It's bigger. Had to grind it down to fit standard U.S. drills.
great for thick mortars

Well built, great for thick mortars. Wont entrain air or scrape plastic bits into the mix from the side of a plastic pail. Use a heavy duty drill with this if using for mortars, it requires a lot of torque to spin, if you have it then it performs. Only reason for four stars is that it is painted, so that will scrape off into the mix the first few times, but for the price what do you expect? You will spend a lot more for stainless, so for most users this is a great value.
