I've only used this for the toussled look,which involves wrapping the hair around the bubbles.I've used it 3 times and loved the results. It actually takes me less time to use this than a wand curler. It almost a must for you to use the glove also to hold the hair in place unlike with a wand.

I purchased this to try a beachy wavy after I cut off 13 inches of hair. I used a heat protectant spray before, and some hair spray after and it turned out pretty good and stayed for several hours.
I really like the design off the handle, and swivel cord. The cord is super long and the unit is pretty light weight.
There's a little getting used to the technique, but it's easy enough especially if you've ever used a wand. Just don't forget and touch yourself with it. I was wearing shorts and got an interesting burn. It gets nice and hot!
