This is a great design for a bird house

This is a great design for a bird house, easy to attach to the side of a tree or other structure. Mine was populated instantly but by a larger than intended bird pair. I would strongly recommend buying a metal plate to screw in over the entrance hole so other less desirable, larger birds cannot peck and claw the opening into a larger one.

Might need some addition ventilation holes drilled, but great birdhouse. Initially I thought the lid did not open, but later found it was screwed shut.
Woodchips should be enclosed.

My only problem was that the Woodpecker house did not come with wood chips. I have looked at other Woodpecker houses and for the same money they enclosed a bag of woodchips. Just a FYI
I know this will make some lucky birds very happy !!

I have other birdhouses at my home I bought this as an addition. I have no doubts once the right birds find it they will move in. I have lots of Chickadees, Tufted Titmouses and Nuthatches among other varieties...they will certainly fit and be very comfortable. I mounted mine on a tree with the 2 screws.

Good qualith - needs some ventilation!!. Placed last winter but not used yet maybe in 2015.

Recommend the company add some drain holes at the bottom.
Hinged top make maintenance easy.
