Very well made, large tarp that can cover an 11' hammock no problem.

Very well made, large tarp that can cover an 11' hammock no problem. I use it in both normal tied down mode, and porch mode with one side held up with poles or sticks. It has been very sturdy in 15+ mph winds and the pockets underneath each corner for the guy lines is a very nice touch. It is Poly so it is a bit heavier than the nylon version would be, but for the price it's an excellent trade off.
Hennesy still makes a great hammock and rainflies

I bought this for my wife, as I already had one for myself. I was unhappy with the cords on the rainfly, Hennessy has put smaller diameter cords all around, and in my experience of camping in the elements, (including winter camping) the wind will tear these smaller cords apart. I have already replaced these with larger more heavy duty cordage. A must in windy situations. Hennesy still makes a great hammock and rainflies, and I will always be a big fan! Thanks for listening to me!
Great Design, Great Buy

GREAT Coverage. I use it with my Warbonnet Blackbird XLC, it is enough to cover my hammock and a little more. Haven't had the opportunity to use it in rain, but I think it will perform just fine. Some great design went into this tarp. Every corner where there is a tie line going out, there is also a little pocket sewn into the tarp to hold your ropes so they don't get tangled. I LOVE THIS FEATURE.

Pros:
- Size is great
- Lightweight and compact
- The pockets for the ropes are AMAZING

Cons:
- none yet
Been USED OVER 300 TIMES! GREAT TARP

Wonderful Rain Fly!! Mine is now over 8 years old and still going strong.. This is no longer my main Rain Tarp, but it is one I keep in my emergency packs and sometimes setup in my yard for events!! My main use for this fly WAS for hammocks and it worked wonderfully.. It still works GREAT for using hammocks in Base Camp but I now have tarps that weigh much less and aren't as bulky (but keep in mind, this one doesn't weigh a lot), and honestly, that is the only reason I no longer use this tarp.. This tarp is STILL GREAT for Base Camp activities or for use in the backyard or something!

Pros
1.) VERY Waterproof! This tarp has been through a lot!! Several MAJOR storms, flooded nights, snow and more!! I have never been wet when using this tarp

2.) Large Tarp, can almost stretch to the ground when using in hammocks! Does a great job keeping wind and rain out!

3.) Blocks Wind

4.) I know I said it weighs more than my newer tarps BUT EVEN THEN this tarp still doesn't weigh much.. It can still easily be used for hammocks and backpacking, I just have newer more modern tarps that weigh a lot less

5.) Use it to block RAIN, WIND, or SUN!!

6.) Works GREAT IN SNOW

7.) Easy to hand and can be hung in just a couple minutes!

8.) Durable - I probably have 300 uses under this tarp and most of those uses were multiple night camps!! The durability speaks for itself knowing how old this tarp is

9.) Tarp large enough to change clothes under and stretches down far enough for some privacy while changing!

10.) I am a huge fan of Hennessy Hammocks, but not really a fan of their all in one hammock systems.. BUT this fly works with ENO, Grand Trunk, Bear Butt, Chill Gorilla, and any brand of hammock you can think of!

Overall: This tarp still comes out several times a year for use.. It mainly lives in my emergency pack BUT I do setup in the yard some, I have used it at the beach recently, and everytime I use it, it is ready!! The age of this tarp speaks of its durabilty and I have over 300 uses under this tarp. I recommend this and any Hennessy Hammock product
Great shelter

I used this on an 11 day adventure to the Rocky Mountains. It worked great, and kept my hammock and all gear dry. Meanwhile, the guys in the large tent were all wet, and ended the trip with plastic tarps all over the top of their tent.
