One of the best Sonic games I've played.

This game is perfect. Tails to help you along the way, new levels, and more. You even get a special episode, for having the first episode, episode metal. Even though I like this game, there is a few problems here and there. First of all, the game is pretty much effortless. You can beat the game in under an hour. Another problem it's that it doesn't keep the nostalgic magic, the old 2D Sonic games had. Sega gives Sonic the homing attack, which for me ruins the mood in the game. It's one element that makes the game elementary. Last, there aren't much levels, including episode metal. There is only 15 levels (including episode metal) in the game. Yet another element that makes the game short and dull. This game may be good in my heart but there's some problems that ruin that mood.

Amazing game with deplorable controls

this game is amazing in almost every aspect. The views are gorgeous, the levels are fun and tails adds some great help. The controls were made by people that hate you.
It's actually not so bad, but you get tthe feeling that the controls were suposed to artificially increase the difficulty. The game is plenty challenging as it is, so this isn't needed. Touch controls are always iffy, but these are usually over come by allowing the controls to register where your thumb is at.
This game does not do that. Instead the controls stay in the same place which is a problem when you want to perform quick actions. The controls can feel laggy at times and more than once you'll be screaming at Sonic to go the other way and wonder where he's headed, or you'll be trying to dodge (Gah, the airplane level!) and the game will not register that you pressed anything.
Regardless, the controls were the only true downside to an otherwise flawless game. It was truly a console release and not simply a tablet app. Despite the controls, I urge any Sonic fan to check this out! You will have fun, even when you're watching Sonic duck, even though you think you're pressing right. Cant wait for an Episode III if there is one!
