The recipe calls for water and heavy cream but you can make intensely flavored ice milk by mixing the ice cream powder with 3 cups sugar-free almond milk. Still low carb but lower in calories.

Surprisingly delicious! I am a very picky ice cream eater and have been disappointed with "low carb" ice cream purchased at the grocery store. I gave this one a shot. Amazing! I just added ice water, whipping cream, and vanilla to this mix, stirred it together with a whisk, and poured it into my "freezer bowl" style ice cream maker. 10 minutes later and it was ready to eat. The kids couldn't tell the difference from "regular" chocolate ice cream. It was very smooth and creamy. I am so glad I found this - will definitely buy this again!
