This may seem like a silly or minor thing but I love this speaker for the simple fact that it has a volume control. I have another portable speaker purchased a while ago that does not and it is really hard to hear sometimes. We use this during ghost hunts for playback and review of EVPs on location. Because it is being connected to a digital recorder a bluetooth speaker is not feasible so this speaker comes in handy. This is a good tool to add to your arsenal.

I ordered this for my grandson's b'day. When it arrived (in 24 hours) I checked how it worked. Very pleased so I ordered one for me to use with my iPhone as I don't like earbuds or headphones at home. Couple of items - the instructions are basically diagrams and tiny print, had to charge 2 hours before it would work, and I would like a little longer cord as it's only about a foot long. But still a good unit to listen to music on my back deck.

I only got the speaker today, so I cannot speak to the long term durability of the item.

I was completely amazed at the sound coming out of this little speaker. It dwarfs the speakers on my notebook computer. If turned to full volume people who are in the same room can not speak to each other without yelling - that's how loud it is. The quality of the sound is also much better than speakers built into notebook computer. Way more bass and depth of sound. Although it is not the highest quality sound available, I cannot imagine a speaker of this size could do any better. I love the built in wire, it means one less thing to carry. I plan to use this on some camping trips, and it is very light and compact. It seems sturdy and well built. There is a rubber ring on the bottom which prevents it from bouncing around on the table. The volume dial and power switch are easy to operate. Considering I paid less than $20 for the speaker, I cannot be more happy with it.

This speaker is really good as far as portable speakers go. The sound is really clear and can be cranked up without sounding too distorted. I like that it had the auxiliary cord attached at the bottom and readily available when you want to hook it up to your device. The speaker has a re-chargeable battery that can play upwards of 5 hours. I once played it for about 5.5 hours of constant use at a medium level.Unfortunately this speaker doesn't have bluetooth, but JBL makes the newer JBL Clip for those that want the best of both worlds. The price has recently gone down to $23.00 so it might be a cheap speaker to keep in your backpack or purse just in case you ever needed one. I bought this to bring with me when my daughter wants to watch her favorite videos. Unfortunately, as good as my Galaxy Note 4 is, sometimes the speaker is just not loud enough, especially in loud crowded areas. So this speaker was perfect due it's size and power.

These speakers sound quite surprisingly good considering their small size, and they are easy to use. Its the best small speaker I have, and I have quite a few that I have tried over the years. We feed it with music from an Apple Airport Express which has an audio output, or an Apple iPod, or similar devices. As the speaker is so compact, it is very portable and is used all over our house and garden. We bought four or five of them, so that there is always one to hand. Also, you can daisy chain them together to obtain louder sound, which is done by connecting the built-in audio input cords between the speakers. There is a Bluetooth version of this speaker, but I have never really needed this feature. The only worry is that the speaker has a re-chargable battery, which means I guess the whole device is disposable a few years from now when the battery is no longer useful. This seems like a waste; hopefully it will be possible to replace the battery in the future, but I somehow doubt that will happen. I suspect the cost of a replacement battery will be significant. I charge these speakers with usb/ac adapters that are strategically posted around the house..
