On a Benz 2014 Gas,It Rattles at Cold Starts,Most Probably a clogged or Bad Timing Chain Tensioner.I First Did a Liquid Moly Flush for 20 Minutes at Idle,then Oil Change,Then drove about 4 miles,then added The Liquid Moly Lifter Can,and I Was surprised,.Turned engine off then on a few times,ZERO rattle.Still getting a few clicking sound,However No Rattler Noise,then again engine is warm,this was my experience.

I recently hit 150k miles in my Suburban. As I was planning on doing its maintenance, I wanted to try something new so I began researching Liqui Moly since I've heard so many good things. I have the lifter tick which is common with this engine. I have always regularly maintained my vehicle but I wanted something to help quiet it down a bit since I find it extremely annoying. I poured in this treatment after my oil change and followed the instructions. At first I noticed it was a bit quieter but now that I have several hundred miles on this oil change, the difference is night and day. I highly recommend this product and will be utilizing it at every oil change going forward. I am now a believer.
This product definitely reduced the lifter noise on my Honda Civic Hybrid, by about 85 percent.

I have to say this products does exactly what it is supposed to do. I tried 3 other products and they did nothing to quiet the noisy HYD flat tappet lifter noise I had in my 1977 Trans Am Pontiac 400 engine.
I added this and ran the engine for 10 minutes then took it on a 20 minute cruise around town and it slowly got quieter. No more internal noise. Just other squeaks in the serpentine system that I could not hear because of the lifter noise. I recommend it!
