Kind of slow but I like the prints! Just received it on 4-15-17 and started using it right away. The prints are of good quality. Thanks.
What A Beautiful Little Pentax Camera...Wow!

This is an absolutely beautiful little camera. It is weighty & well built. It takes fantastic photos, love this camera. It will take me a year to figure out all of the features & then it will take even BETTER photos. It was too good of a deal to pass up. Absolutely love this cute 'lil bugger. It is amazing. I love it almost as much as my 1983 Pentax Auto 110 SUPER :) This camera will not be for everyone, but if you like small, quality built cameras that take great images, look into this one. I know it will keep me interested for the next decade.
Interchangeable lens camera that produces lower quality images than many compacts and even some smartphones.

So far as I know, this is the cheapest interchangeable lens camera on the market. That is a big plus if you want to experiment with a camera which allows you to switch lenses as you wish. You can magnify that plus since you can get lens adapters that will allow you to fit a range of lenses to this camera body.
That sounds OK but there is a big drawback. The camera itself is pretty weak. At its wide angle, the kit lens included with this camera is pretty well equivalent to the basic camera found in most of today's smart phones but the smartphone camera will produce better photos in most conditions. Of course, your smartphone probably does not have an equivalent optical zoom to match the basic kit lens supplied here but I compared the images produced by this phone with those from a range of budget compact cameras and even my 10 year old Samsung compact produces better images at all points of the zoom coverage of this camera and the Samsung camera has a far wider zoom range to boot.
So, if you want to learn about interchangeable lenses then this is a cheap way to get going but if photo quality is your top priority then a decent smartphone, or a good compact camera will be a better bet.

Great little compact camera

Great little compact camera! I'm looking forward to a longer lens, but impressed, so far, with the smaller zoom. I carry my camera on my motorcycle, and this camera fits well into the tank bag.
Small camera with lots of useful features

First, this camera is small. Smaller than it looks. This camera is also filled with features that work very well. I have used all kinds of cameras. I am impressed with what Pentax has included in this camera. It feels well built. The controls are quite intuitive, but there are so many. The manual that comes with it is a thick booklet. I thought it was one of those 7 different language manuals. It was only one language. The manual is necessary just to know all the features and thankfully it is logically organized. The anti-shake is among the best I have used. The images are also sharper than I would expect from a 12.4MP camera. I like the styling. It is a little retro but they still got the controls where they need to be when you are shooting.
I find the control that is available to me through the long feature list of this camera very helpful in shooting pictures. I am sure I will not use all the features but I like to have complete control in some cases and totally automatic in other situations.
One example would be the auto focus with the red light for dark situations. It can be on all the time or shut off and only used when I feel it is required. I like that. It works great to focus on darker scenes and is not really needed all the time.
The video it shoots is also well done. I like it enough that I have been using it more.
