Had ONE job!

Didn't Float upright, was super fragile. For something that bobs around in liquid its vastly under equipped for the job. I used it in my fermenter and it cracked near the tiny nub letting loose a stream of stainless steel balls into my beer. After researching on homebrew forums it was determined it is safe for my beer as long as i make sure to siphon off. beer was saved but I count the thermometer a loss.

Broke in the wort....second time using it.....I think it had steel balls and alcohol but no mercury. Had to dump the batch.
