I read the reviews before purchasing and like many others stated, only received 379 of the 500 sticks. I re-packaged them in the box after counting, and there was still some room to spare. If it had been packaged a little more carefully it could have held at least 400, but nowhere close to the 500 as stated in the description. The quality was very good for the most part. Most of the pieces were uniform with a few either slightly misshapen, chipped or discolored. These are for my kids to use for crafts at home so overall I'm satisfied, but I can understand the frustration for teachers or others who need exact quantities. The description needs to be updated so people know the amounts are approximate.

Sadly, I just paid attention to 4 stars and "Amazon best seller" Surley Amazon would not throw "best seller" around lightly. I digress. Upon arrival it just didn't look like 500 sticks. So I double checked the order to verify I had ordered 500 and that's when I read the reviews..... I counted. I recounted. 389
That's quite a few missing when you have bored children home for the summer. To add insult to injury they are really good quality. Oh the stirring, gluing, and house building that will be missed with those 111 rouge craft sticks.
