It had gold flake in it that I didn't know was gonna be in it? Figured Jet Black would be as it says. Would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Painted my whole 2006 Toyota Highlander. Its not quite 1/2 gallon paint with TCP 1.3mm spray gun, 21 gallon air compressor, 2.5 HP, 100 ft air hose, 25-50 air pressure. Wet look and shiny, no runs. Tape and paint took 2 hrs. Thanks TCP Global. Xylene cleaner from Home Depot works best to clean the mess , spray gun....
Came out beautiful

For the price, you get a great kit and if you have to use the whole thing, you mix it all together and start painting.
I used a more professional grade paint gun and a large shop compressor. For paint like this you don't mess with subpar equipment. But once you have that taken care of, with the 8 hour pot life (the time you have to use it), you can take your time and make sure it's done right.
The surface was primed with their brand of primer too, I forget the name but it's the one that accepts multiple top coat paint types. The paint stuck to the primer surface like magic, and it's hard to overspray this paint. Yes you can overspray it if you set the paint gun poorly but a light but robust spray is more forgiving with the paint and it sprays on like a coat of plastic. Almost like magic. I am not the most skilled or experienced painter so my work and prep is not perfect but this paint made up for a lot of my shortcomings and for the price I recommend that it can be used by the do it yourself painter trying to save a buck, since the kit costs under 100 dollars. But if your prep work is top quality and you can find a pro painter with a good facility for painting who will use the paint you give them, then you will get an amazingly good paint job from this kit.
Be advised that without proper ventilation you will clog your respirator filters. YOU MUST use a respirator with this stuff. This is the serious stuff that will hurt you if you inhale it.
The quality of this paint exceeds the price, in my opinion. If you want a cheap topcoat and skimp on prep work just to "get the car painted", you will wish you spent more time on the prep work because this paint deserves nothing less. Good tools, facility, and prep work will yield a very good result.
