Nice and sharp, needs a protective sleeve for storage

Nice for a first-time lame. Sharper than the knives I've been using, it makes nice cuts on my sourdough bread. I only wish it had come with some kind of protective sleeve for storage. I made one out of a paper towel tube, which works ok, but something nicer looking would be nice.

I love it! The handle is really cute and comfortable to use. The blade is held at the correct angle/curve. The blades it comes with are perfect, and I was able to score my bread easily. The baguette pictures was scored using this lame.
Great basic lame with extra blades.

Love the instructional content from breadtopia.com, and this lame is exactly what I needed for clean scoring of my bread loaves. This is a good value compared to some of the other lames out there. Is it fancy? No. does it give you clean cuts and extra blades at a decent price? Absolutely.
Needs a case

Gave three stars because was affordable and does cut. Dislikes are the blade is not very secure. Also once blade is on there is no case to keep it clean and others safe. A cheap plastic case would help a lot. Good starter lame. But if you bake alot get something sturdier

I feel stupid that I just can't get the hang of such a simple gadget. The blade (5 are included) is easy enough to put on, but I just can't get clean cuts on my loaves. Either the blade drags and sticks, or it comes off the lame. I'd love a video showing the right way to use it. I'm going to keep in hopes of getting it right. If I do, then I may add a star.
