Convenient packaging
I only have pies for you✓ Verified Purchase•January 14, 2018
I've bought several of the flavors offered and I like them all the same. There aren't that many in each pack, but somehow it seems to be just enough to satisfy your salt tooth. Sure, if there were more in the pack, I'd eat them. But my blood pressure may say otherwise! The olives themselves are not sitting in brine, however they are coated in a small amount of olive oil, similar to what you'd get in an olive bar at the market. Although I'd say maybe a little less oily than that. I love the convenience factor in these, which is really the main reason I buy them, because I can keep them in my drawer at work and either eat as a snack or throw in a salad that I brought from home.
I contacted the manufacturer about their packaging containing any BPA and they confirmed they do NOT contain BPA.

Don't hesitate, olive lovers

These olives are a fantastic afternoon snack alternative. I was wary at first as I do not like canned olives and usually buy them "fresh" with pits. However, these olives won me over. They taste very much like olives from a grocery store "olive bar" and the serving size is just right. The olives are moist and juicy, but there is not a lot of juice in the package so they are relatively easy to eat. I keep them in my office, in the truck, in my backpack for anytime I might want a snack. Two of my daughters like them and pack them in their school lunchbox. I plan to try more flavors at some point, but the sea salt are very good.
Awesome, delicious portable low carb snack

I'll preface this by saying, I accidentally received the "Savory Hint of Pepper" green olive packs. I didn't even realize it until I came here to leave a review and see I ordered the sea salt. That being said, I LOVE the pepper olives. I needed low carb snacks for work, and this is a perfect size. There are about 10 olives in the pouch - just right. I'll definitely be ordering the peppered olives again. They're delicious! Thank you!
Awesome idea and implementation

Whoever came up with this idea is innovator of the year in my opinion. The olives are good, but the packaging is positively brilliant. I love olives and would eat an entire jar. These are a much better solution for those of us who love olives and have trouble stopping at just one.
They aren't cheap - you can get store brand olives for a dollar or so a jar and these are a dollar or so per pouch, but they're better quality than store brand manzanilla while not being as high end as queen. I'm not 100% sure exactly what they are, but they aren't as mushy as the jarred manzanilla and not as firm as the queen.

Great Snack Product

I really enjoy these as a snack or in a salad. I work in remote Barrow, Alaska, and I try to keep a variety of pleasant but easy foods on hand. I have become known for my snack cabinet (the crew calls it "The Store") and these are a product I have trouble keeping on hand because everyone really enjoys them. We especially like that they are packed without juice (but please don't make the mistake of tipping your head back and pouring part of the pouch into your mouth - there IS a small amount of brine/juice that settles off the olives after packing, and you WILL get a mouth (or eye) full if you don't pay attention. These, a pack of pita chips, and a small pack of hummus and you have a nice light lunch or afternoon snack. I try to go out of my way to have unusual items on hand because up here it's so easy to get bored with the same thing every day. These snack packs, in all the different varieties Mario makes, are a great addition and help keep things interesting.
