This wall mounted shelving unit certainly did the trick for us. In an effort to reduce bedroom clutter, we recently switched to a storage bed so we could get rid of our huge dresser. With no dresser to set our audio/video components on, we needed somewhere else to put them. I took a chance and purchased this wall mounted shelf unit. Installation was as easy as it is to mount anything to a wall. Find a stud, mark it, drill pilot holes, finish off with the lag screws and viola! I like that there is a provision in the backbone portion of the unit to hide the cabling. Since the unit is hanging on the wall and is totally exposed, cable management is a must if you want a clean-looking installation.

For the price, I was expecting a real piece of trash to arrive, but since the price was so low I knew that it wouldn't break my heart too much if it ended up being a fail purchase. However, I think it is build quite sturdy and would hold even the largest of stereo amplifiers. I would certainly recommend this product to someone looking for an on-wall solution for mounting their audio/video components.

the glass shelves are held on by glue which popped loose on day one. I would suggest buying some gorilla glue if you plan on buying this to help hold it together.
