It's attractive enough, and well made. I didn't know much about ponchos when I ordered it, but I probably should've got a full size one, 36" or so wide, rather than this about 28" wide one. This one doesn't droop over the outside part of your shoulder much so shoulders get a touch chilly, Keeps your core warm though, and it doesn't get in you way as much as a full size one. You probably could outdraw Clint because your arms are less hindered.

When I first opened it, there was a bit of a chemical smell and there was a stubborn crease that wouldn't go away, but one cycle through the washing machine fixed both. It's pretty awesome and comfortable. I wish it was a bit more cold out so I could wear it more often. Would definitely recommend.

My husband got this for a Cinco de Mayo party, and loves it. He expected it to be something he used once as a costume, but he really likes it. He plans on using it next time we are outside at night, around a campfire.

Decent weight, I bought it to be warm and not be wearing a dull sweater all the time. People laugh at me, which was kind of the point (I live in New England, so it stands out at work). Fun.

The colors are very bright. It needs wash and wear to soften it up. Time.

Well made and authentic. Needed it for a costume piece and this worked really well. Tag says it was made in Mexico. Stitching is done nicely and I can't find any bad seams on it. This particular color (Blue) is quite nice as well. Looking closely at the material...it seems that different types of stitching and different yarns where used to create the effect and patterns that the poncho has. The edges that surround the arms and open neck area are done well. It is a black strip that keeps the ends from fraying. It is important to note that this is a piece that is to be hand washed only. It is well made...but I feel a washing machine would probably eat this up and destroy some of the more intricate stitching work. It isn't the thickest material, but I think it could certainly block the wind and keep you warm when combined with other gear. I bought it for a costume piece but it looks so cool and is so well made that I will probably take it with me the next time we go camping. It would be perfect for that fall weather and colder evenings around the campfire. If your looking for a traditional Mexican poncho...you can't go wrong with these. Nice price and well made.
