its more cost effective than some, but during a heavy snow the steel shaft just snapped right off. I probably hit a curb too hard without thinking much of it, but would like it to be durable enough to take that kind of abuse.

Shoes identical to the specifications. Trivial to install on Meyer 7.5 plow (moldboard) and fit was perfect as expected. Spacing between Shoe Assembly and plow (how high does the plow blade ride above the ground) is determined by the number of washers used between plow and Shoe Assembly. Measure distance ---or trial and error (need some snow) --- does not matter. Shoes delivered day ahead of schedule.
