I like this size and style. I like crunchy so I add my own chopped almonds -- that's the cheapest way I can find to have "crunchy bare" almond butter. There is a cheaper brand that also only lists almonds on the ingredients -- but it is much runnier for some reason, so I think you get more almond butter for the price with Barney Butter.
Not my favorite but my friend loves them.

I love Barney Butter but don't like this flavor or its consistency that much. It has a little chalky feel to me and the cocoa/coconut combo doesn't work as well as I thought it would. But my friend loves it (although she says it feels too much like having dessert). I think like most food products that this is in the eye of the beholder. My suggestion is to try this flavor before buying a ton like I did. If you're like my friend, then go crazy. If you're like me, go back to the other flavors.

You have to really love the taste of almonds to enjoy this straight from the jar. It was really hard to stir by hand, but nothing my hand mixer couldn't tackle. I just attached one of the small dough hooks and the mixer made quick work of stirring the butter. I'm using the product as part of a recipe so the almond taste is basically masked. If I had intended to eat this "as is" I wouldn't have liked it. Again, you have to really like almonds to enjoy this.

tis is in regard to the expresso-chocoate flavor. The oil separated from the almond butter so it presented as a squirt of oil followed by a chunk of dried almond butter and in the packet it is next to impossible to blend the two. I had also ordered the Coconut almond butter packets and those were perfect. Dont now if it is just a bad batch or if the expresso flavor has a tendency to separate.

The Almond Butter tastes really good. I took off a star because it is hard to get it out of the packet. In most packets there was a significant lump of the butter wedged in the bottom and no amount of kneading was dislodging it. To get it I had to cut open the packet to the bottom and scrape it out, which minimizes the convenience factor for sure. Still, this is good for backpacks, hiking, biking etc. when a good protein source is desired in a tiny package. I wouldn't get it again but am confident most anyone would like the flavor if they do try it.
