After researching the many benefits of Himalayan pink salt I decided for the health benefits, I would be replacing salt in our home with the Himalayan pink salt. I began to look for the item in local health food shops and grocery stores. I was so disappointed to find that only a small grinder of the salt was around $8 at Walmart - that was the lowest price I could find.
After almost giving up on being able to afford the health benefits of this, I decided to look to Amazon and thankfully I came across this item.
The price is amazing, the flavor is much better in my opinion than kosher salt or table salt, especially when used to season vegetables or meats and IT IS SO DARN PRETTY!
I love that this bag comes with a resealable lock for easy storage and that this is an organic, non-gmo, kosher, responsibly sourced product with no fillers.
I absolutely recommend this household necessity to anyone who is health conscious, looking to be healthier, or anyone who bakes or cooks.

Umm was this suppose to be Himalayan or sea salt and the size :( it's so pale, that majority of this is white ... last time I bought the cake s.o.s brand and it was awesome.... I would not recommend this ! Included pictures of what I currently use that I bought from amazon vs this. Buy this cake brand ... it's like a buck more!!!

Ordered this several times and each time, the salt was as described and fresh and tasty! It might sound odd describing it like this, but I've purchased other Himalayan pinks and they've been stale and tasteless. By stale, I mean super difficult to grind and tasteless, well, obviously, that means having to add more salt. This grinds smoothly and has an amazing, fresh taste.
Turned solid white quite quickly, do not trust it!

This salt has never been open. I keep my 2 salts which I blend, in the refrigerator. This salt has gone from pink to completely white and I do not trust it. The salt I bought previously is still a nice pink color and had been refrigerated for about a year, but I am about out of that one. I just repurchased my old brand. I rarely have a bad comment about a product but this is a food product! You may want to go with "The Spice lab" brand. I intend to keep using this particular product.

Th first thing I noticed was the packaging - not the same as the picture. Second thing was the size of the granuals; yes it is course, but at a quarter of the size. Third thing was the date; mfg in January 2016 and exploratory date January 2018. No way I can use a pound of salt in 5 months. Granted, I have had the same kosher salt for 2 years and it doesn't show an expiration date. I will use the Himalayan salt regardless; it tastes good.
