I would give this item 5 stars except I found it much cheaper at Walmart. Com. Otherwise it's my 2 yr old grandsons favorite toy. We will see how it holds up throughout the seasons, plastic always becomes washed out and brittle as time passes. I wish Tonka would make matching scale ,track hoe,& loader.

Our adult son had one of these when he was a toddler, and played with it for years. It survived all his rough play when we moved out to the country, was left outside in all kinds of weather, and supported his weight as he ran around the house and yard by leaning on the truck bed. We bought this new one for the Toys for Tots campaign my husband hosted at work, in hopes that another child will enjoy it as much as our son did his.

My son loves this truck! He's 1 1/2 and has a ball. He sits in the back sometimes and drives it with his legs and feet, he puts his toys in the back and drives them around, he plays with it in our sandbox and fills and dumps sand, he just absolutely loves it. Its heavy duty and doesn't wear and tear with even my crazy boy so buy this with ease knowing its high quality and will produce a lot of fun!!

This truck was much sturdier that its counter part, the Tonka Front Loader - this has more steel, but still not at all like the classic Tonka trucks of the past. My nephew loved it and was able to lean on it as he raced around in play. He was happy so I am happy. I think it was over priced for not having been all steel like one would expect when seeing the word "classic", suggested to me that it would be like the originally made Tonka Dump Trucks...not the case.
