The Right Rack for Our Oven
William McDannell✓ Verified Purchase•December 13, 2023
Wow - I was seriously freaked out because the reviews for this product were all over the place. On top of that, it was extremely difficult to find anything specific using the model number of our oven. We did find an OEM rack on the Sears parts website - at almost twice the price of this one. So in the end, I screwed up my courage and went ahead and ordered this one.
The specifics: Our oven is a Kenmore, model #75023102. I measured the one rack we have. The depth wasn't terribly important - it was a bit over 15 inches. But the width is critical. The rack we have is EXACTLY 24 inches wide. Some reviewers here said the rack they received was a quarter inch or more short of that - which wouldn't work since there isn't that much of a ledge holding the rack up on each side. But other reviewers said it fit their oven perfectly. I figured if it was a bit too short I'd figure out a way to attach a metal rod of some sort to one side - or bend one side - to make it fit. I'm not helpless.
Anyway, the rack arrived today and it is EXACTLY 24 inches wide and fits our oven perfectly. My wife may never forgive me if she ever sees the picture I posted of our dirty oven, but you can see that it fits precisely like our original rack which - in case you couldn't tell - is the grungy looking one on the bottom. No creative adjustments necessary.
I was considering giving this rack only four stars as it is not quite as substantial as the OEM rack - the diameter of the main framework rods is just a wee bit smaller than the diameter on the original. But then I got to thinking that unless I should one day have the occasion to bake a couple of huge pans full of lead in the oven this rack is plenty sturdy enough to handle anything we're going to be putting in there. Besides, I've heard it said that lead is not a desirable dietary item anyway, so no worries.
I still don't understand why a number of reviewers are reporting that the rack is too narrow. Maybe the seller could shed some light on this. The one we got was precisely the size necessary for our oven and as sturdy as we will ever need it to be. And I'm over 30 bucks richer because I didn't succumb to the temptation to buy the OEM replacement rack. So - five stars.
Postscript: We are ceaselessly bemused by some of the things Amazon does. This thing arrived in a ginormous box. There was enough paper packed inside to print the Sunday edition of the Chicago Tribune. And, there, nestled snugly in the bottom inch of this humongous box was our rack. It could have been shipped covered by a couple of slabs of cardboard taped together. My wife had a small panic attack when I brought the box in because she had recently ordered a couple of new bras and thought that's what had been delivered - and immediately wondered what size bras they had sent her.

Still not sure why it is so expensive, however it fitted the oven well
Good rack

Great rack, if it fits. It was supposed to fit the kitchenaid double oven, but it does not. It's too narrow, and falls-- hence only 4 stars
Good heavy duty racks

There are not quite deep enough (about 2 inches to short) for my Amana oven. But the work fine. The width is perfect. My stove is over 20 years old and I can't find oven racks for it, so I ordered then and they are better than the ones I had. I forgot to remove them one time when I cleaned my oven and it seemed to weaken the strength of them and the started sagging. The size listed it true to the descriptions, and it works great in my oven.
