Great Idea but not well executed

The concept is great! But the remote doesn't work at least 75% of the time. We always have to run over and push it to make it light up when our team scores! And it is not very loud at all. Certainly not worth the money, sadly.

Super fun way to obnoxiously celebrate a goal. The ability to set the goal horn for any one of the NHL teams is a nice touch. My GF is a wings fan and I'm a pens fan, and we each get our home goal horn. The only down side is the volume level of the internal speaker. However, it does have an audio line out, which when connected to the home stereo, is crazy awesome :). It's like being at the game. There's just so few ways you can only hit that button once per goal. This ratio is directly proportional to alcohol consumption.

I hung this on my ceiling and added wires to connect to a stand alone amp/speaker set up....oh yeah, my neighbors know when the Blackhawks score!!

Biggest hit of holiday. Must hook up to speakers for sound like right next to stadium horn.
The batteries won't last through the season.

This goal light is tons of fun for a hockey fan. We'd use it for away game watch parties at home. There's nothing like hearing your home team's horn when a goal is scored. We soon discovered though, that this thing eats up battery power like nobody's business. It probably lasts a month at most with regular use. It's been a couple years since we purchased it, and it still works well. We usually just use it for rivalry games, or playoffs though, due to the battery issue.
