Loving this flavor in my iced coffee!

As I'm writing this review I am thinking of making some salted caramel cider. It is delicious, tastes just like the salted caramel cider from my favorite little shop.

So, I've bought this syrup before. It's my favorite! It's great, but I wanted to review the bottle. I bought this one for more money with less syrup- just for the bottle (you know glass is better to store stuff in!) Well, it doesn't fit my pump! The same pump that fits in the other same brand syrup doesn't fit in this one. So..... I had to pour this syrup back in my old bottle totally defeating the purpose. :( So buy the syrup for the flavor, but if you want it to fit your syrup pump beware that it just might not! The top is fatter around than the plastic bottle.

I have had this syrup for more than a year because I purchased it to use with an espresso maker I had purchased on sale. We relocated our office and I ended up purchasing a Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine by De'Longhi, for more portability. I was unpacking some boxes to find my espresso cups and glasses and ran across my Monin Salted Caramel Syrup. I tried it in my Longo coffee and found it did not have the usual salted caramel flavor. This syrup tasted like old fashioned butterscotch candy the way they used to make it. I never tasted a syrup labeled caramel that had a classic edge. It is so flavorful that I am purchasing another bottle because if anyone in the house tastes this, it will be gone very soon. Notwithstanding, it is now one of my most favored flavors in coffee syrups. I intend to purchase the hazelnut also because I understand it is one of the flavors added to the iced macchiato ordered as a turtle ....
