Perfect, cute envelopes for placecards

I bought 2 packs of the quartz metallic envelopes, along with the matching cardstock, to use as the placecards for my wedding. I searched far and wide for the perfect size envelope, on many different stationery websites and in stores like Paper Source. The envelope needed to hold a small piece of folded cardstock large enough for a note, so that ruled out the common #1 size envelope (perfect for holding a key but not much else). However, the next size up for most stationery places is a 4 Bar envelope (3 5/8" x 5 1/8"), which is a notecard envelope - way too big for our purposes. After searching around on Amazon, I found this seller and so many different size and color options. I was a bit hesitant to buy at first because of the high shipping cost from this seller, but the envelopes and cardstock ended up working out perfectly. Not only were they the perfect size, the paper had a subtle, classy, neutral shimmer.

Perfect mini envelopes! Beautiful matte black color, nice weight to the paper, and it allowed me to stick a sticker on and it didn't peek off. Sturdy and big enough for a small card or business card. Can't mail out by itself

Ordered mine in ruby red, real nice color, quality is really good, perfect size for the charms I mail out. BUT when I tried to mail them out, the post office employee told me they can't mail envelopes this small. She suggested i put them in a bigger envelope which completely defeats the purpose of the mini gift card envelopes in the first place.
