I use this pillow every night. I had back surgery and a knee pillow was recommended by my surgeon. It is just the right thickness and It is holding up very well after several years of use. I did machine wash the cover on gentle cycle and air dried it.
Very good support for both the knees and ankles

Very good support for both the knees and ankles, and back..
It is a bit too long for me ( I'm 5'5"), but I'm dealing with it.
I find the foam a bit warm, so I put a cotton pillowcase over it.
I don't move around much in my sleep, so I don't use the strap.

I was have lower back and leg pains to the point I sometimes needed a cane to walk. My PT therapist suggested sleeping with a pillow between my legs. A normal pillow would not stay but I love this knee pillow. It stays put. Is easy to slide into and doesn't get hot. After using for everal weeks my back pain is gone. I highly recommend. Just wish it had a washable cover but I believe the whole thing can be washed.

After trying to hold a pillow between my knees for several years, this pillow is much easier to hang onto. The flat shape is perfect and at 5' 4" the length is just right. My knees had become very painful, as I am a side sleeper and have degenerative arthritis. This pillow stopped the pain. As other reviewers have said, it does drag the covers with it if you change sides in the night. But the regular pillows generally did that too. It's a small inconvenience that is worth it for the benefits it provides. It is holding up very well after two months of use.

So glad to get this!!! I sleep on my side and this is going to be just what I need. I have tried just doing "home made" by using pillows or a blanket, but for me they were too cumbersome. This is gonna be brilliant.
Update 7/9/15: I have used this several nights and love it. It's the perfect width at my knees and ankles. I feel confident my alignment is much better than before (and feel more comfortable too!) and it helps stave off an inward rotation affecting my whole leg from the hip to my feet, that is unavoidable when sleeping without this support. Am telling others about this product and will buy from these folks again!
