Bought this because husband started working nights so I needed a double bar to hang blackout curtains and regular curtains on. It made my bedroom feel slightly fancier. I've also given the curtains some accidental tugs and bars didn't move an inch. That's also with a wind chime hanging off of it.

The rod is lovely in person, but if you are installing it on the wall on either side of the window frame (instead of on the window frame itself), the interior curtain bar is so close to the window frame wood that the interior curtains get stuck on the window frame wood and are difficult to move (when pushing the curtains to open or closed). I got around this by placing most of the curtain fabric past the window frame, but this may not work for you if you are particular about how things look.
