I bought this shuffler for my elderly mom who loves to play poker in her assisted living residence. So far, it is working very well, and she and her friends, who have difficulty handling the playing cards, are thoroughly enjoying their games. Unfortunately the shuffler appears to be quite flimsy and is a replacement for the same model which broke after about 4 months. We're hoping that this one lasts much longer!

I know some folks have posted mixed reviews, but so far we haven't had any issues with this. Yes, it's noisy, but it does get the job done, quite well. I have only ever used the shufflers that use the C batteries, but I can't imagine that the models that use AA batteries would have enough power to shuffle cards very well.
We've used it weekly for a few months now, and haven't had to change the batteries, yet. It is plastic, but it seems to be holding up well so far.

Makes me feel lazy when I use it, which is probably the truth and quite frankly I hate for it to get around so I try to hide it from the kids. But when the guys come over it sure speeds up the game and cuts down on them eating the peanuts and stuff. In the long run, I really do like it and wish I had started using it long ago before the playing cards got all bent up and stiff.
