Hi Quality, Low price!
Amazon CustomerMarch 16, 2018
This target stand is all it needs to be. For the cost its great. Even if you have a welder, and the angle stock, you couldn't make this cheaper with the quality that you get with this. The welds are great, the finish is great and the clamp is sufficient. Also there is a built in stop to keep the cross pieces from separating. The value is here. Remember the 1x2's should be the finished 1x2's. The unfinished will not fit the sockets. I used Elmers 3/16 foam poster board cut to size and large paper clamps to attach to the 1x2 uprights. very sturdy. Also you can buy pre-cut wood shims to slide in next to the uprights to provide a bit more stability. oh yeah, there are 4 steak holes in the base that would help with wind. I do a lot of shooting in the desert so I use sand bags because it would be difficult to pound a steak in the desert where I am.
Great Target Stand-broken spinner screw

Good target holder. No need for instructions. I bought 2 to add to a 200yd personal range. I picked out 4 (and 2 spare) 8'-1"x2" straight (hand picked) boards, marked off 24" and chopped all at once with a chop saw. Inside the pockets for boards, are 2 pieces of metal, that pinch the 1x2's.
Push one side of the end of each board, and stick a straight blade screwdriver under the other pincher, bend it out, and the 1x2 pushes right in. take one piece of your 1x2 cut-off piece, and nail it (small nails or split) accross the BACK of the tops of the installed, 6' 1x2's. Using the length of the cut-off pieces, I adjusted the bottom width to the same, and it worked perfectly. I bought some rectangular pre-cut cardboard, (24"x36" )
and a roll of white police sillouets,(sp?)and stapled away. One small problem was one of the spinner screws to hold the boards tight was pushed through. No prob. Homey Dee. I guess I lucked out and got the last one for $19, shopped around for the 2nd, and they were $30ish elsewhere, and i went back to the same item on Amazon/Whole Foods, and it was re-priced at $30ish.
Inexpensive and Works very Well

Just got back from testing it out the first time and it beats the heck out of building one out of wood and carrying it down the range. Especially for the price. The 1x2's go in from the bottom and and held pretty stiffly which is good. It doesn't just drop on but really has a good grip. Add some big binder clips and an piece of cardboard as a target backer and you're set. I liked it well enough to buy two more for next time.
100% These are great!!!

These are great!! I have used some of the welded USPSA IDPA 18" stands, and saw these and decided to give them a try. The previous reviewer about having to bend the springs in the leg openings is wrong, ...... you merely put one edge of the 1x2 in and press the lip of the spring back and then rotate the other edge down and in........ The other thing, is that new shooters may not realize that at Home Depot and Lowe's, 1x2 furring strips come in exterior and interior styles.... for shooting and target stands, you need the interior finished strips.....I made the same mistake and bought the bigger exterior sticks and they don't go in easily.......... compare the two at Home Depot lumber and you will see the difference.

Went together easily, has stakedown holes should wind be a problem (Colorado...duh) and are easily adjusted to your target or cardboard width. I looked at buying more locally of my welded stands and am glad I bought these. I use a total of 8 for training classes and I appreciate the lighter weight........ only wish they were US made instead of China........
Great target holder for the price. Easy to assemble & tear down.

Buy a couple of 1x2" furring strips at Lowes and have them cut at 5'. Then get some large binder clips and clip your target to the wood, no need for a cardboard backing. Easy to set up easy to tear down. Works great, at least as well as similar target holders available here that are a lot more expensive. I take the left over 3' pieces of furring strips and wood-screw them together and make more target holders.
