I have used Ballistol on my firearms and antiques. It was the perfect compound to treat a pre-World War 2 Louisville Slugger baseball bat that I snagged at an auction. I also used Ballistol on a Model 1816 musket that I purchased - I just took the musket apart and cleaned/treated the entire thing with Ballistol. I use it on my rifles and handguns, and even on the shaft to my metal detector. It works like a champ on old leather as well! I have used it on an antique 5-fingered baseball glove and on a Civil War era bayonet scabbard. It lubricates, it protects, it restores. Ze Germans are definitely on to something with this product.

This stuff works very well. I had previously given it a 1 star out of error because of the product arriving with a smaller than pin hole in the can. I used it today and noticed it was another penetrating oil company that arrived with the ultra small pin hole. Long story short I like this product best of all for penetrating and lubrication of all the products that I have tried.

Wranglerstar turned me on to this product, and I agree it works great to prevent rust on your tools. I keep a small cotton rag in a resealable plastic container so it is easy to wipe on. I haven't tried it on anything except steel as of yet, but really like the fact that it is biodegradable.

great lube for AR, but is water soluble, so may not be the best option for rust prevention for stainless steel firearms. The added benefit used to condition leather jacket, leather car seat, and new baseball glove, but left a noticeable smell that disappeared after a week. Best use in ventilated area, but is non toxic.

I got this for use as a general purpose lube. I am kind of a lubrication freak and after reading the reviews gave it a try. Extremely impressed. It puts a slick durable coating on knife blades and attracts less pccket lint on edc knives. Used it on the door hinges of a 19 year old car and now the doors don't spring back shut when I don't want them to. I have used 4 or 5 other lubricants on them with no results. Expensive but worth it.
