I used this the other night for the first time. It worked very well, caught a few minnows. Just don't get in a hurry putting this together and it will work for you. Tie a small rope to the top and drop it over the boat and wait for the bait fish. I do a lot of night fishing, with light over the boat. I always have lots of bait fist around

Honestly, the metal connector that connects the 4 rods together bent/disformed the first time I used this, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Construction quality is questionable, but I fixed it by bending it back into shape with a pair of pliers, and it has worked fine the 10 times I have briefly used it since. For the price, it works great.
