Excellent product, by ordering it I thought it was generic. Upon receiving it I received an original from Microsoft. Works perfectly

I just received this, on a Sunday, two day shipping! I thought this was what I needed, but it wasn't I have an older monitor that I needed to take from VGA to a standard USB plug. The VGA part was exactly what I needed with the 15 prong plug, however the USB plug was the tiny plug, like the kind of plug you insert into a cell phone to charge a cell phone. I gave it four stars because it looked as though it had been returned. The original tape holding the flaps on the item box was cut, and regular scotch tape had been placed on top of the tape seal. So, I'm back here looking for another item like this that has the regular size USB port size plug, drats!!
Worked like a charm with my old Surface 2 RT

Worked like a charm with my old Surface 2 RT. The battery is dead on my Surface so it only works while plugged in. So it has been relegated down to just a desktop computer. Gave it to my son...I needed this device to enable a split screen situation to allow for more productivity. My teenager is now set for his homework.
Not bad - it works well....

I got this for my Surface II RT and it works fine. It does what it is supposed to do. My only complaint is that I think it would work a little better if the cable was longer - it wouldn't pull down (and thus start to fall out) as much). It works, though, and the price was good (well, it's OK, but considering its very hard to find, its good).
