Cheaply Made
Amazon CustomerSeptember 11, 2017
This machine is poorly made and lasted one season. Juice drips out of back and drips on the mechanism and onto the floor. there is no way to stop it except to put towel under it. The turning mechanism with the key is made of cheap metal and the key broke in 5 minutes of using it the second season. I had cleaned it totally well before putting away for winter and stored in pantry. in the boxes. The metal aluminum body is all discolored and pitted and yes it was cleaned well with hot soapy water and a toothbrush and dryed before storage. Totally not worth the price.
Switch delivered a nasty zap, key is stripping.

Going into my second season with this motor. Loved it year one after two years of hand cranking, however the key is starting to strip so will not make it through this fall's tomatoes but even more importantly, I just received a nasty zap when using the switch to shut it off. I do not believe anything got wet so this is very concerning and a serious safety issue. Trying to decide on buying a replacement or go with another solution. If I'm going to risk electrocution then I'm thinking it ain't worth it!

Absolute life (and shoulder) saver. It is so nice and convenient when processing large batch of tomatoes or other fruits/veggies. My only disappointment is that I didn't by this sooner.
Powerful motor but breaks easily.

It is a powerful motor and it gets the job done. I've use mine five times for about 4 hours straight each time. The problem with it is that it is made out of plastic. The piece that protrudes forward that keeps the unit upright and not spinning around broke off. Now it is headed for the trash.
you will be glad you did

The motor has made the last of this years canning so much easier. Sorry I waited to buy it. When my husband helped me this fall he saw where the motor was available. He said to get one for my Christmas. Suppose that is why I waited. If you have the food strainer go on and get the motor, you will be glad you did.
