Poorly fitted parts, leaks a lot

I bought this to replace the diverter valve assembly of my DP700UV (700 GPH) pump. None of the provided adapters would fit the 3/4" ID output port (looks like there is a mismatch in thread coarseness), but I was able to marry it to one of the existing pipes with a bit of work.
I would have rated this higher but for the fact that it leaks everywhere. From the adapters. From the valves. From the adjustment knobs. Everywhere. They are small leaks, so that is okay for the time being. I can certainly use plumber tape to fix the leak on the adapters, but there is no way to fix the other leaks. That makes me unsure about the longevity of the whole assembly.
