effective for protecting crossover vehicle backseat doors from messy mutt paws

The thought of the sound of the puppy's toenails on the 2015 Subaru Forester window ledges made me cringe, but these door covers solved that problem.

This covers almost the whole door (maybe an inch is exposed toward the back seat headrest... not prime mutt paw territory) and has so far protected it from my careless mutt's muddy talons.

If you want people to ride in your car, you'll probably want to remove these when they show up (a 30 second task). However, if you are outfitting your car for the sake of your dog ... how often do you really expect a person in that seat?

No problems will having the windows 1/2 down with the Tabbed install set-up, but if you typically put the windows 100% down, I'd suggest using 3M command instead of the traditional adhesive strips that were included.

If your mutt is a nervous chewer, these just hang loose, and can easily be pulled out of the window by a mechanically inclined retriever (using the tab install ... didn't try the adhesive at all). You may need to be more creative to keep these in place.

The material is thick and absorbent. If the dog paws is a little muddy, you can brush off the dirt once it is dried, but it looks like they'd be easy to wash (I'd probably just wash in the sink and hang to dry).

Now if I could only make the window glass noseprint proof...
Good quality not thin and cheesy

They do have to be adjusted depending on how many times you roll your window up and down. I've had a set of these before that were thin and plastic like, these are really nice they hang nicely no wrinkles and are slightly sueded. I have a 100 lb dog that went crazy scratching up the door to get to another dog and if these protectors were not on, my leather interior doors would have been torn up. And they also work great for my 3-year-old child passenger, spot cleaning with a damp cloth is all it took to keep them looking new.
Good, Attractive Door Covers

This product is well-made and does its job, although it's certainly a little on the small side if you're like me and want exactly zero parts of your dog on your leather door panel inserts. I use the tabs because I hate (hate hate hate hate hate) anything adhesive on an automotive interior. The door covers look pretty nice, with a faux-suede that would likely be easy to clean. I think they're the most attractive on the market.

I have a late-'90s BMW 3-series (which is small in comparison to the modern 3-series) and the door covers don't cover the length of the leather insert, although they are appropriately tall to cover the vertical entirety of the door panel. Please note that I consider this a Steve flaw, rather than a design flaw- I should've measured the doors prior to ordering. Still, the "fit all vehicles" statement is not exactly correct. In addition, if you have a split door window design (i.e. you have a movable and a non-movable section separated by a frame), the gap between the tabs is too small to allow proper fit.

There is no padding, so if your furbabies have sharp claws, they can leave small indentations in the leather that should come out with exposure to heat.

TL;DR- Good quality cover that doesn't look poverty-spec. Measure your doors.
Functions well, had to modify to fit my needs.

I bought these for the back of my SUV to accompany a liner I bought for the back Cargo Liner For SUVs Waterproof Durable Material - Lifetime Warranty - (Black Large) . These work well, but I wish they had an option for the back of SUV's that was just a rectangle that had more coverage to protect the side of the vehicle. The inserts would not slide down into my windows (probably because the windows in the back don't slide down) and I did not want to put sticky velcro on my new car. So instead I used the inserts to push the fabric down into the window seams and left the inserts sticking up (only about 1cm of the insert would go down into the window). This seems to do the trick. I have a beagle who is pretty well behaved, so this is just enough anchoring for her to place her paws on the side of the vehicle to look out. Fabric is velvety, catches hair and protects my vehicle. Overall, this functions well considering I modified it to fit my needs. Would definitely recommend to others.
Mostly good design, but it fits like a one-size-fits-all stereotypically does.

Fits like a one size fits most. If you keep in mind that this product was designed to fit at many vehicles as possible, you will be satisfied. I have a Jeep Unlimited, and used it on the rear windows. The upper seam has multiple slots to place plastic inserts that then slip between your window and door seal. Mine bunched up a bit, but that's due to the Jeeps narrower rear window. To their credit, it could have been unacceptable, but Krunco designed multiple slots in the cover top, so that you can calibrate the door cover to fit as close as possible to your vehicle's window design. The material is durable and the dogs paws find it "grippy" enough to not slip off from reasonable vehicle shifts in traffic. There are several hook n loop mounts provided long the topside to secure the cover to the window base to help prevent the cover from uninstalling itself from opening and closing the vehicle's window; I have had intermittent success with that design. There is only one hook and loop at the bottom to prevent it from flying up from wind turbulence; It is sufficient to keep the cover from flying up, but I think this is not sufficient for all car door designs, Like they did with the top slots, they should have added several different hook n loop tabs to offer choices to bottom attachment, my jeep has a bungy net door pocket where the cover's lone tab is offered and caused installed conflicts. We're mostly happy with its design and performance so far. I will try to provide a long term performance review next year.
