Customer's product dropped out of the bottom of the bag

Bought them because all reviews said "sturdy". Not sure what happened with my shipment but the bottoms were barely glued together, like one little drop of glue. Unfortunately I only found this out when a customer walked back to me maybe 3 minutes after her purchase showing me the open bottom of the bag where our 8 oz jar had fallen through to the ground. I checked the other bags and they were all the same, bottoms barely glued together. For the rest of the show I had to double bag everything and didn't have any more problems. Glad I ordered so many, but won't order these again.

The quality is just fine. My only complaint is when they state the dimensions, the overall height takes into account the full height of the handle, so if you think you're getting a shopping bag about the size of a piece of paper (like me) you aren't, the actual bag portion is significantly smaller. I had hoped to use these for our small clothing boutique but will return them and order a slightly larger size. I don't think it would hold a single sweater, but would hold a small shirt or pair of leggings.

I thought, "Hey, let's check Amazon." They were available and close to the the price of the major companies with high minimums. They arrived packaged well and are easy to take out to use as they are stacked crossways so that they are easy to remove. We have had NO issues with defects. Upon receipt, we loved how the brown was a muted color and was the perfect color to stamp our logo on the front. The construction of the bags were very sturdy and the handles had double support which would work perfect for placing heavier items in the bag. Overall a great product.

Overall, very disappointed with the bags I received. I didn't think it was possible to give paper shopping bags a bad review, but upon arrival I immediately noticed the poor quality. The kraft paper itself is very thin, and the bottom of the bag ripped open when I placed a 4oz item in it. The top of the bags were also ripped and looked like they had been cut by pinking shears for no foreseeable reason (I attached a photo as a reference). The only reason I gave the bags two stars was because the price was fair for the 250 qty, I just wish the quality was better! Maybe I got a bad batch, since all the other reviews are so positive. Good thing Amazon's return policy is amazing!
