Works great for a pull-up bar!

I used this to wrap a pull-up bar. The painted surface was not good for me, just felt so unnatural.
One layer of this tape has made a huge difference! It's not sticky but helps your grip well. It's very thin and offers no padding, which is great for my application. A second layer may be ideal but I will probably leave it alone and just enjoy the grip.

I used this to replace the grip on used baseball bats I bought for my son. First, I removed the old grips and wiped down the handles with adhesive remover. Then I wrapped the handles with this hockey tape. After that I wrapped the bat handles with various shock absorbing tape grips. My son swings really hard and had complained that his hands stung when he hit the ball, but this hockey tale made a great, exceptionally affordable base layer.
Not as tacky as some grip tapes, but superior for many applications

A lot of hockey tapes are sticky with a sort of tar like substance on the outside. This tape has more of a smooth fabric finish. It's not the grippiest, but overall I think I like it better than other brands. I use it as intended for covering the handles of tools, but also for repairing books and even for splinting plants.
