Great Product, to expensive to buy one on line

Great Product....I did not know about this product until a couple of years ago. I use this for many of the jobs I use to use regular WD-40/lube for. When it drys it does not leave the same mess then regular WD-40 does. Great product. I use it on my garage doors, hinges around the house etc. Places were I do not want grease build up or dripping.

This gets a 3 star because of the expense of ordering just one can. I will not order one bottle like this on line. Cheaper at big Box store.
This stuff works REALLY well...

I bought this for the guide rods on my table saw's blade lifting mechanism; it used to take me two hands to get the d@mn blade up, and it kept getting worse...I thought the thing was broken and if I'd kept going on like that it probably would be by now. After spraying the rods down with this stuff I can crank the blade all the way up with one hand at top speed. Now I'm using it on my planer, my jointer, and anything else where metal is sliding against metal in a dusty environment. Everything I put it on glides as smooth as silk. This stuff is great and lasts a pretty long time before it needs to be reapplied. Keep a can in your toolbox, you'll be amazed at the uses you'll find for it.
Great dry lubricant for home and automotive

Got this stuff to do some rust protection and lubrication around the house. I use this on door locks in the house and on the car.
Use a dry lubricant such as this when:
"¢ You have tiny parts that shouldn't be gunked up by grease or oil that will attract dust
"¢ You need to keep the surrounding surfaces clean
"¢ Your surfaces are exposed to extremely high heat or pressure, which would typically oxidize oils (use up to 500F)
Don't use when:
"¢ Your surfaces are exposed to solvents or other liquids that can wash them away
Use Examples:
"¢ Power tools, Locks, door hinges, cabinet hinges, window tracts, threaded rods, 3D printer rails
Jump back...spray on the loose

Actually, the spray is okay and it does what it says it will. Only point is that one can leaked like a sieve as the straw would not position correctly, so it became a tug of war between the spray and the straw but I was the one who lost with lube all over. A great idea, poorly executed. That said, I have used WD-40 products forever and never had a bad car before.
Best deal on a PTFE/Teflon spray lubricant

I've used Elmer's Slide-All teflon lubricant for years. Teflon lubes will not attract dirt, as regular WD-40, 3-in-One Oil or many other lubricants would, and can be sprayed into places where it would be hard to get graphite to go. Also, unlike graphite, it dries clear, almost invisible, and tends to stay where it's put. There are several companies which make a teflon-based dry lube.

The WD-40 product has several advantages:
- its the cheapest teflon lube I could find
- the built-in spray tube is a huge help
- its available in places like Lowes and Home Depot with other WD-40 products

One thing to watch out for: the dry lube itself is totally non-reactive, and will work on pretty much anything. But the solvent used to carry it will melt some plastics, such as the threads on a battery powered gadget I lubricated last week. In a case like this, you might be able to spray a paper towel, let most or all of the propellant evaporate, then rub it on the plastic item you want to lubricate.

Competing products include:
- DuPont Teflon Nonstick dry-film lubricant
- 3M 08897 Silicone lubricant (dry type)
- Superlube 31110 Aerosol
- Elmer's E450 Slide-All
- CRC03044 Dry PTFE Lubricating Spray
