Very bulky. For some strange reason, it has a flange sticking out in the front ?? Not sure why, but makes it impossible to use a water proof face cover. Does NOT fit my Arctic Cat 1000 Limited no matter how you trim or turn it, even though Amazon says it does.

I removed the front knob holes to fit my DIN stereo in. It will mount very nice under the dash of the 1970 Olds classic. This way it can keep the old looks with some new tech. Heavy duty too!
Prefabbed box is an easy solution to mounting newer stereos.

It looks like this will be the painless solution to mounting in my old truck and keep from cutting up the dash. Old trucks like mine (70 years old) were not meant to take radios. This mounted on the overhead is just the ticket. You probably will have to modify the front face to accept newer radios. Newer radios will take up about half the space this box has. Its the best one I found anywhere. The old saying "Cut to fit, Paint to match" applies.
