This size is great for young/new trees. For mature trees, I'd recommend the larger size. This dealer delivered my tree mats in a very timely fashion and they were just what I ordered. I would definitely recommend this dealer to buy from. In Arizona I found no need to pin down my mats as I covered them with bark mulch. The mulch seems to hold them down.

Perfect for garden beds. I have chickens, and I have a front garden bed. I put these around all the bushes and larger plants, and they keep the chickens from digging up the roots. You can easily trim with scissors to make the center hole larger, or to fit near a wall. Just enough protection for this purpose.
