It used to be near impossible to rip the top off but they've improved the packaging and it's easy now. As far as kids getting ingesting these, it's self-limiting: the bitter taste will make a kid spit it out immediately.

I remember growing up in the heart of NASCAR country and seeing/hearing Hall of Famer, Richard Petty, regularly speak of the wonders of Goody's Headache Powders. Now, I know he was a paid spokesman [and there is no pitch man quite like a NASCAR driver, to be perfectly honest] but given the tremendous number of wrecks he had been in, one could deduce he knew a little something about pain. So....a good number of years ago, I decided to give them a try. -And I have found that nothing works as fast on a killer headache than this stuff right here. The unflavored stuff is quite unsavory. The cool orange takes some of the bitterness out but still packs the same punch. In either case, you will want to chase it with some water.
BTW, BC powders are similar but not as effective. For me, it's Goody's for fast headache relief.
