Best for kittens and younger animals IMO

My adult cats (4, 10, 14 years) were unimpressed. Maybe because they are used to the latest sturdy cat tree. My largest cat is around 16 pounds - but unlike the cat trees (where they are climbing on before I am even done assembling), none of them pay attention to this except going under it. I don't think they like the unsturdy feel of the hammocks. The scratching posts are too short for them to use as shown and too narrow.

Maybe I will play with it and re-arrange to at least use pieces of it. The compartments are too small for them as well. Overall, IMO it's not that this product isn't decently made, although it does tend to pull apart at the base. (I feel like I should putty all the joins together or something - maybe duck tape?)

It's just like so many cat trees/shelters, it's like whoever designs these has never had a healthy ADULT cat who slings themselves at a cat tree, climbs up at speed, hangs over the sides of the platform, etc. Or stretches out and rips the **** out of a good sturdy scratching post. The way they would in a natural environment which IMO is good for them.Which is kind of the point. I'd be better off opening up some of my bookshelves and letting them use them for cubbies. I wish designers would get that grown cats are 10 lbs+ with muscle and get vigorously active and need decent sized platforms and STABILITY so they are comfortable using a cat tree.

Anyway IMO good enough for kittens and 1-3 year old cats; so I will keep for another animal; but from now on will be staying away from any of these light modular things and head to the thrift and hardware stores instead - or just collect some wood and build something. My oldest cat liked the box tho.
I may need that back 'coz I am taking this apart - as shown takes too much space for something they don't care about.
Great kitty condo, easy to move and change!

My two young cats love this. Light and easy to move. Seems to be holding up well. We have had it for a few months. I added some cat beds and a hammock.
Met my expectations

Definitely met my expectations. I did read the reviews prior to my purchase so I kind of knew what I was getting. I honestly did not expect it to hold for my cats but to my surprise it does! I have two 5 year olds weighing in at about 12 lbs each and they both fit comfortably. I added their beds for a little more cushioning but my striped tabby still sleeps on the thin fabric. And it holds him nicely. They still are not comfortable with getting in the pockets but I'm okay with that. Had a couple pipes come loose but went back together fine. They were rough-housing that's why. Overall great for my transition to temporary housing because I can break it down and rebuild without trying to transport a huge stand. I'm satisfied! Flimsy- fittings come apart and it collapses on cats

We bought this so our new kittens would have a great place to play. As soon as we started putting it together we could tell that the fittings were not very tight. We were hoping that when it was all put together that it would be under so much tension from all of the fabric pieces with velcro that it would hold tight- it didn't. The whole structure falls apart at least once per day and it is impossible to move it to clean under or behind it- the whole thing just collapses. We were hoping for something amazing and versatile but it was just a disappointment for the kids and the cats (who are now afraid to go near it).
Now they have gone back to pretty much ignoring it

Luckily we bought 2 as there are not enough pieces in box to complete assembly as shown. The outside of package shows 52 of the connecting rods which it requires to assembly as shown; however, the instructions included inside show 48 pieces. There are only 48 pieces which makes putting the angled top piece as shown impossible. Kittens ignored it for about a week, but finally began playing on it extensively. Now they have gone back to pretty much ignoring it, which is probably good since when they run and hit it to climb on top the whole apparatus shakes precariously. Would not recommend for larger cats.
