Nice little pocket microscope, very useful at home or in the shop. Great for finding those little metal splinters that drive me crazy. The quality of this amazes me, particularly when I consider the price paid. Years ago, I bought my first pocket microscope and it is absolute crap in comparison.

Great little jewelers loop with a 60X magnification. The LED lighting is extremely bright and I was surprised there was also a UV light attached that can be used to distinguish Burmese rubies from synthetic rubies by the color of the fluorescence. This is very affordable and serves the purpose.

One side has your choice of LED lights or a black light and the other is the lens. I had trouble seeing stuff until I figured out how it works. After you turn the lights on, pull the telescoping lens all the way up. Put the object right up under the clear plastic at the bottom of the lens. Then lower the lens until you see the object clearly.
I could easily see the flaws in a small (.10 pt) diamond. The light really helps you to see the object clearly. Good price, too. And it arrived two weeks sooner than expected.

great for looking for double dies and such! a little hard to focus at first but you adjust. special note: you will need a cardboard coin holder to hold your coin flat to view it as the clear plastic 'spacer' prevents looking at a coin flat on the table .
