As advertised, when promised.

I haven't used the product. I bought it for an emergency camping kit I am putting together and as stocking stuffers for my kids. Seems well built. Seems like it would work. Clever idea anyway. Delivered on time.
Leave the adjustment alone and you're good
Kyle Hill•April 30, 2017
They work, but the adjustment is about 50/50 that it breaks while adjusting. They're cheap enough to replace, but if it's adjustable, it should bent and not break
Kind of on the fench with these. High stars ...

Kind of on the fench with these. High stars for construction versus value, but I am not going to say that these have increased my catches substantially. Understanding habits and more-ideal conditions for the species I am trying to land, has given me more success than any particular piece of equipment I own has.
Very Handy

they will definitely set a hook in a hurry. Great stuff! keep your hand clear! Works as described and a very simple and handy addition to my bag.
I think it may be a good device in densely wooded areas
Matthew Sevier•April 26, 2016
The idea is really neat. I haven't had much luck using the Speedhook. I think it may be a good device in densely wooded areas, where casting a rod can be a problem, and being able to tie this to a good rigid tree over the water would be where this might shine. When just hung from my fishing rod in a rod holder the energy of the hookset is mostly lost to drag in the water compounded with the easy flex of the rod tip. I'm not throwing these out, but they're going in the survival pack instead of the tackle box now.
