will ruin your dash if gets hot

We use this in our older Santa Fe SUV. It holds up our phones on the odometer ledge protecting the phone from sun, heat, and glare while on extended drives. The problem with phone and GPS holder is they are out on the dash or windshield, and they over heat. This little mat supports our larger phones from falling when propped against the odometer. Phone doesn't fall, keeps cooler, and just works better.

You get what you pay for. They worked really well for awhile, but after about a week they lost their stickiness. It was nice to have five, because when one would stop sticking I would use another. The colors were really cool. Everyone riding in my car loved them until they stopped working. Again, you get what you pay for!

I was a little hesitant cause this was really low priced when compared to other similar products. However, this gets job done. Washed reused works perfectly fine. You get 5 so size isn't an issue, I have a Note 5 and an iPad worked perfectly fine for both.
As other people mentioned melting in the reviews not just this a lot of plastic stuff melts or gets damaged when left in the car, trust me it gets really really hot in car when left under direct sun. I saw melting dash cleaners, car fresheners, crooked sunglasses. You can generally say which one melts (feels soft) and which one doesn't (feels hard). You can leave this stuff in your backseat if your car is tinted or anywhere you think will be not so hot but not right under the windshield.

Think beyond dashboard uses. I have one on my work table to prevent my devices from sliding off. One in the sewing room to stop the foot pedal from sliding. One under the lamp in the den so the cat doesn't push it off. Someone should incorporate this type surface on the back of cell phone cases. The product description needs to be expanded, because "dashboard sticky pad" just doesn't convey it's many uses. How about "That's exactly what I needed, but didn't actually know I needed."
