Many plastic parts but attractive. Very pleasant bird call. Not traditional but it is a good value.
A great product

I bought this cuckoo clock for my clock obsessed 4 year old. It was the cheapest one I found that actually has a bird come out the doors and make a sound. It also has a working pendulum and I love that at night it is quiet (it only chirps in light, not in the dark). It ticks softly and I also loved the button on the side that activates the cuckoo just by pushing it, instead of just waiting every hour for it to ring. This was a pleasant surprise feature which makes my children very happy because they can see the cuckoo bird chirp whenever they want, on command. Cons? It's plastic. Also, it's not painted, the design is all stickers (thankfully already on the clock). The hands are uncovered so if you're not gentle on the hands, they could twist or break. So far it has survived my 4 and 2 year olds. So in spite of the cons, it's sturdy. I'm happy with my purchase, my only strong complaint is the price. $60 bucks is too much for a plastic clock, which most reviewers I read buy to be used as a toy. I think $25 or $30 would be more appropriate.
Good quality

Chalet singing cardinal

We still love the chalet, singing, cardinal, cuckoo clock. We needed to post again because we realized after months of the cardinal not singing, it was that we needed to replace the battery.
Work like a charm.
